Later on, he served CNMC, Kolkata as assistant professor, pathology. Presently, he is working at Dr BC Roy Memorial Hospital for children, Kolkata. He has published numerous original articles in various national and international medical journals. Apart from teaching, he loves reading books on different subjects and playing chess. He is residing at Khamargachi, Hooghly, 60 kilometers away from Kolkata with his mother, wife, Dr Chandana Sengupta and son.
